Your responsibility
Your responsibility and challenge is to take the sheet metal production process to the next level. To do so, you bring ownership and decisiveness to keep the sheet metal plant running as tightly as possible. You do this by improving process flows and working with the engineers to provide nesting programs and bending programs that the sheet metal team can work well with. As a team leader, you help your people in a coaching manner so that they can perform optimally as independently as possible. Thus, you will ensure a cohesive team with the goal of effective and efficient sheet metal production.

What you will do
- You are engaged in the process optimization of the sheet metal factory
- In doing so, you assess the existing process, realize improvements and ensure a process design that allows people to be optimally deployed
- You ensure clear responsibilities, tasks and authority of the people in the sheet metal team
- You ensure optimal staff planning for production scheduling in 2-shifts, with the possibility of moving to 3-shifts if necessary
- As a sparring partner for the engineers, you bring nesting approaches closer to the shop floor so that the transition from work preparation to production is more confident
- Together with the Technical Department, you will set up a preventive maintenance program
- You control programming to ensure continuity
- You work on:
- minimizing the amount of product rejection due to laser cutting
- Increasing OEE during manned and unmanned production
- Setting up KPIs for Quality & Control.
- further professionalizing - together with HR - the training plan for your team
Education and experience
- You have experience coaching team in the manufacturing industry
- Good command of Dutch, English and German
- MBO education level 4 or equivalent (Metal, Mechanical Engineering)
- You are at home at the interface of automation and production technology
